Hindi Diwas Celebrated with Creativity and Enthusiasm at NHLPS

Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School celebrated Hindi Diwas with enthusiasm and dignity, marking the culmination of the Hindi Fortnight organised from August 21 to September 5. As September 14 is a holiday this year, the celebration was held during the special assembly on September 11.

The assembly opened with Sanskrit chanting by Class VIII students under the guidance of Ms Mrinal Deshpande, Sanskrit Subject Teacher, followed by a prayer and thought in Sindhi presented by students under the guidance of Ms Sameeksha Peswani, Sindhi Subject Teacher. The multilingual beginning set the tone for a celebration of India’s rich linguistic heritage.

Ms Neetika Solanki, Hindi Subject Teacher, spoke about the richness and significance of Hindi and encouraged students to value and take pride in their language.

During the Hindi Fortnight, students of Classes I to X participated in a variety of age-appropriate activities and competitions, including speeches, role plays, poster making, creative writing, poetry and letter writing. The activities encouraged students to strengthen their language and communication skills while expressing their creativity and imagination.

Selected students showcased their talent through poems, speeches and other literary presentations during the special assembly. Their confident performances added vibrancy to the celebration.

The programme concluded with the felicitation of the winners of the Hindi Fortnight competitions through a prize distribution ceremony, recognising their enthusiasm and achievement.

The celebration reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing language skills while fostering respect for India’s diverse linguistic and cultural traditions.
