Road Safety Awareness Session for School Transport Staff

Under the Road Safety Month initiative (1st–31st January), a Road Safety Awareness Session was organized on 21st January 2026 at the auditorium of Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School in collaboration with the Traffic Education Cell, Bhopal, for bus drivers, conductors, and helpers working under Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society.
The session was conducted in the presence of Traffic Sub-Inspector Mr. Lala Bana Solanki and Mr. Girish Kumar Saraswat, In-charge, Traffic Education Cell, Bhopal. Mr. Saraswat, the chief speaker, emphasized mandatory safety measures in school buses such as fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, CCTV monitoring, student attendance registers, and the important role of bus helpers in ensuring student safety.
He also explained traffic rules and road signs through an informative presentation and highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups of transport staff conducted by the Traffic Police. The session was interactive, allowing participants to ask questions and clarify doubts related to traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
Information about the Government of India’s scheme “Jaan Bachao –Puraskar Pao” was also shared, which encourages citizens to help accident victims without legal complications and provides financial incentives and free medical treatment.
The program was attended by Mr. Ghanshyam Bulchandani (Secretary, SHKES), Mr. Manikandan (Principal, Mithi Gobindram Public School), and Ms. Rini Sunil (Senior Coordinator, NHLPS). The session was compered by Ms. Neetu Yadav (MGPS) and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Vinod Sawlani, Bus Manager, SHKES.
Such initiatives play a vital role in strengthening the safety, discipline, and responsibility of school transport services and reflect the institution’s commitment towards ensuring safe commuting for students.
